Crazy Weekend

Ouch-Where did the weekend go?
Yup, another crazy weekend. And no, that doesn't mean I was out partying...;)
With the UK Workshop Big Bash only a few days away this was my last real chance to have a clean up of the workshop. I borrowed a van from work to remove the unsightliest items (the heavy downpours of rain really helped when loading!) spent a while vacuuming up shavings, dust and small animals and generally doing "good stuff". Then I thought I'd do a little woodwork. Back to square one.........;)
The tool chest. All twelve drawers are now done, I veneered a board for the top (just some solid walnut to trim and mould the edges) and I've started fitting out the drawers to hold the tools. Made a new face for the router table fence and a few other "tuits" and felt a lot happier.
The Big Bash is going to be a full house-looks like around 30 tool heads will be arriving. Going to need a few more t-shirts. And food. And I may need to hire security to search everyone when they leave.....;)
Have a good week
Phil

So that's why you be setting up the digi-cam - no sneaking out with the Wenzloff saw under the coat!!!

Mmmm, I do like the figure on those drawer fronts. Tell you what Paul, you distract him buy pretending to get the saw and I'll swipe the tool chest...

Look here, Mysterious Unidentified Blog Reader, if I go for the Wenzloff saw, I won't be pretending!!

God, I hope nobody else nicks it, 'cause Philly will think it was me!!

On second thoughts, I think Philly has a cunning plan. Looks like he's going to make us remove our Arthur Daly raincoats with the 25 inside pockets and issue us all with T-shirts. Blast!!

Hah! You lot are killing me! ;)
We'll see who has the last laugh on Saturday. Just heard off Dan Holton-he is coming by and wants help to unload "a parcel" from the back of his truck. Good thing I'll have lots of "idle" hands hanging around........;)

Oh, a mystery delivery...good one Phil!

So much fun. You know, Phil. You could have had a pre-event evening the night before with a few "select" people and gotten a lot more done around the place. You know, painting, landscaping...[g]

Yet another 'nonymous blogger.

"Pre-event evening"? (Que Alf style scary laugh.....)
No need for that-keep it between us but really it's more of a "doing DIY around Phils house day" than a "Lets lark about in the workshop making silly thin shavings whilst drinking tea" day......
Nah, just joking!
I am receiving LOTS of last minute emails along the line of "I know I said I couldn't come but now I can-is it o.k. to come?". We now are officially over the 30 number. I need more t-shirts.........;)

You can see where this is going - look out for the last-minute agenda change from "Tool Heads Big Bash" to "Bring a paintbrush and lawnmower party"!!
